I would like to point out that the fact that Adobe does not allow screen
sharing / remote desktop from Adobe Flash player has nothing to do with
the security but everything to do with supporting Adobe Connect Pro with
the Flash player monopoly.

The fact that turning on microphone and/or web camera can also be a HUGE
security problem and yet both of those features are available with the
standard Flash player. There's no reason (outside the Connect Pro/Flash
player monopoly) not to allow screen sharing / remote desktop with
similar UI as is currently used for microphone and web camera (user must
explicitly allow the feature before it can be used).

However, currently Adobe is the only software provider that can initiate
screen sharing or remove desktop functionality from Flash player without
additional native software (e.g. installed Java) and that is highly
unlikely to change. (Unless somebody sues Adobe for illegal monopoly
over this issue?)
