[Red5] Red5 and as1 serverside coding

I just recently watched a video by Chris Allen, and he had mentioned that
they support coding in as1 for serverside code for red5 and as3 soon.Is
there any references or tutorials on what that looks like and how it
interacts with the server.
All i can find is all the java tutorials..
maybe i misunderstood.
