I suggest that you try the latest trunk, but if you would like to use 0.7 it does support AMF3. Just know that the older versions are not supported due to limited resources.

I'm running an old v3068 trunk (0.7+ version) on two (identical) servers that's serving VOD files and sometimes runs for months without any restart or reboot.
On a little test-server I'm running an old v0.6.2 instance that's online for 227 days and a v0.7.0 one that's alive for 214 days. Both aren't used very often (sometimes just once a day) but as you can see they are good survivors.
Memory leaks -can- be in the native Red5 code , some have been identified in the recent versions but often it's your own code that's leaking like the titanic.
Besides that non useful information keep in mind that Flash Media Server 1 (FCS) and FMS 2 were sinking bricks as well and required near daily restarts because they would
eat memory as well and never release it. (Even nullified every single variable and object after usage but that made it survive one extra day, going from 2 to 3, back in the days).
A daily restart at off-hours is the easiest thing to solve that, after that use memory scanners to see what happens when you connect to your app. There seem to be very good java-inspectors around.

iam doing my actual project here at home...
i never turn off my pc, not when iam eating nor when iam going to bed or leaving the house...
i just reboot when needed... bad behaviour of me...
... also i often forgett to turn of running red5 so i often gets up at morning and see oh its still running...
... thinking well lets test last changes from yesterday eve...
so when i do this red5 most times is dead... server unreachable... sometimes my webapp responses on the handshake BUT
then the netconnection get closed by red5...
... so thats why i come to this mail to the list... why does red5 dies over night... and is there a running system yet that
uses red5 as backend ... if yes ... how often do you restart red5 , which release or tag or branch do you use?
thx in advance
