[Red5] Connect parameters

I'm wondering if someone knows a way to add parameters to the connection 
caused by the VideoDisplay component of Flex. Can I somewhere override 
the connection algorithm, just add some parameters? I've already made my 
own custom component on top of mx:VideoDisplay.
