[Red5] problems streaming with red5 and flex

Does your server have access to write an indexfile in the streams directory
where your FLV is located ? Do you see any .meta files in there at all ?

Btw when Red5 cannot write a meta-file the first time it won't write it a
second time unless you restart the server (this behaviour was onbserved at
least up to v 0.7 )

Does your video have keyframes and if so does it have enough keyframes ?
Red5 can only 'rewind' to a keyframe.

E.g. if your video is 100 seconds long and has 10 frames per second and 1
keyframe each 20 frames then Red5 can only (reliable) seek to position 0, 2,
4, 6 .. etc seconds.

Which version are you using and have you tried different versions to make
sure it's not bugging due to a very old very version or a very new version
with a small flaw introduced 5 minutes ago ?

W.
