[Red5] how to keep track of bandwidth consumed in rtmp streaming

In my application I have each user account in its own folder on a file system
which contains
media files for that user. I must know how many kbytes of data is consumed
(transferred from server to client) by each user as the user streams the
media files. On the client side i am using JW Player and red5 for rtmp
streaming. 
Any guidance like which API to use to solve this problem?
