Let me tell you what I did before for plugin implementation:
Please go here http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/plugins.jsp
pick the simple plugin like *braodcast.jar*. Download this jar and right
click
and extract with *winrar*. you will get some folder structure. These should
be simple folder structure you should follow.
Now I hope you have studied *
http://www.igniterealtime.org/builds/openfire/docs/latest/documentation/plugin-dev-guide.html
*.
Also for source code of Broadcast plugin you can go to
http://www.java2s.com/Open-Source/Java-Document/Net/openfire/org.jivesoftware.openfire.plugin.htm
You see at top BroadcastPlugin.java (click that) and you see how this java
file has been implemented. How they implement Plugin and other interface.
I did download all files in Eclipse (openfire 's source code) and seen the
interface like Plugin.java. As a java programmer I think this should not be
tuff for you. Do some basic code and make jar file
and keep it in plugin folder.
Now how will you check it ?? the good thing is write some error message like
Openfire do ex Log.error("Hello I am here"); and see for it in error.log
file (inside openfire directory )

Best Regards
 Atulesh :)
