[Red5devs] Screen capture codec as live stream?

If I unsderstand your suggestion, that would simply be a capture
driver for the screen, making it a video input device that shows up
in the camera list. In that case, the Flash player would still encode
the video with the H.263 codec, not the screen codec. The screen
codec is lossless. You'll want your screen captures to use the screen
codec, which the Flash player won't provide for your SWF movie.

There's a screen capture tool here that uses the screen codec for FLV
files: http://klaus.geekserver.net/libflv/

For those of you with better knowledge of RTMP, it might be a simple
matter to make that tool talk to Red5. (It's on my to-try list, but
probably not until next month, anyway.)
