[Red5devs] Red5 0.7 Sprint

Hey Guys,
Thanks for getting all of this moving along!
I would also like to start offering Eclipse projects that have a
sample application ready to go. This will also get people started with
a project that they can use to test their Red5 applications directly
in Eclipse. I have an example built off of 0.6.1 here on my blog: http://blog.ff9900.org/?p=38
. I will be glad to put it together an updated version once I have the
latest tagged JARs. It might make sense for us to create Java 5 and 6
versions of this, not just one.
Moving forward though, I think it would be even better for us to build
a proper Eclipse plugin for Red5 development. Buttons that start and
restart the server, deployment stuff, start in debug mode, a wizard
for creating a new Red5 project, etc...
What are your thoughts on all of this? I want to get this nailed down
soon, as John and I are writing some chapters on Red5 for a book, and
I would like us to be talking about the most accurate and up to date
info possible.
-Chris
P.S. I will also try to contact Joachim off this list to see how he's
doing. Hopefully we can get him back and helping soon. I will be sure
to keep you posted on that.
