Hi,
I'm a developer working for the National Library of Australia. We're
working on a delivery system for some of our audio collection.
Currently we're using JW FLV player without streaming but we'd like to
have streaming.
We're very interrested in using Red5 for our streaming server since we
much prefer to use open source software where we can. We have however
run into one problem. Pretty much all of our masters are encoded with a
sampling rate of 48kHz (as are their derivative mp3s). As far as I have
been able to ascertain Red5 does not support streaming of 48kHz mp3s. I
realise that this was also a flash limitation until recently.
I just wanted to know if there are any plans to implement support for
streaming 48kHz (or on the fly downsampling or some such) mp3s in the
near future.
Regards,
Joseph Curtis.
