[Red5devs] H323 / SIP support planed ?

Well, in my opinion the topic of the thread is a bit misplaced.
While my intention is to develop a SIP gateway this is not the feature
i want to add to Red5. To have SIP, I need RTP. You are right, SIP
functionality is better placed as a webapp (also because his logic is
webapp dependant). It makes no sense to just bundle the JainSIP jar to
Red5. If somebody needs SIP, then they can add it to his webapp
./lib/.
The problem I see is that to add RTP capabilities to Red5 i cannot
just add JRTP jar to my webapp, i need to modify Red5. Of course I can
modify my own copy of Red5 and deliver my solution with a patched
Red5. But i think adding RTP (no SIP, no RTSP, plain RTP) to Red5 is a
nice feature. Red5 would then be able to interact with standard media
infrastructure.
IMHO we can just stop talking about SIP and start talking about RTP :)

Pau
