That's most likely because the app window doesn't have focus itself.
Try adding the following:
swApplication.setForegroundWindow(swWindow.getWindowId());

Hello,
I created a file .swf containing an input text field focused from the Flash
main timeline using Selection.setFocus.
When I compile a projector (with a new icon and a splash image), the field
looses focus (or it appears to loose it).
When I compile the projector without icon and splash image, the field has
focus.
I think the problem could be the splash image: is it possible?

The same thing happens on WindowsXP Home SP2 and Windows 2000.
The Flash version is MX, player 6 exp.
The ScreenWeaver OS version is the last (patched).
