[screenweaver] A quick hello ;-)

It's kind of hidden in the CVS:
https://secure.sourcesecure.co.uk/trac/osflash/screenweaver/browser/thre
e/trunk/res/mxp%20installer/source/Components/SW%20Components%20Set%201.
fla?format=raw
You can also install the mxp that you can find in the [SW OS install
dir]\Help. This will put the component .fla in the [Flash Config
Dir]\components directory.
Moving forward I think we will have a dedicated componet/framework dir
in the CVS.

Heya Thomas,
Makes sense to keep it AS1 as AS2 compiles down to AS1 anyway ;-)
As for the components, are the orginal component FLA's available
somewhere?
Couldn't find 'em on osflash.org. Of course I can always pick them from
the screenweaver install.
regards,
Muzak

Hi Muzak,
Good to see your on board!
The API will stay AS1 for the time being because there is no immediate
need to make it AS2 as all 'classes' are singletons. I can only see AS2
making sense sense in a scenario where you want to instantiate the SW
API multiple times. In our current model this does not make sense/is it
necessary?
Romain has made a intrinsic class library:
https://secure.sourcesecure.co.uk/trac/osflash/screenweaver/attachment/w
iki/SwThree/Apis/sw3os%20Intrinsics%20source.zip
Copy this into your "[Flash config folder]\classes" and it should give
you compile time syntax error support.
I know Romain is looking into some component work but I haven't heard
back any definite ideas yet. Still looking for ideas and proof of
concepts regarding an AS2 based framework or Component set.
Cheers,
-Thomas
