Hey list,
We have a first alpha version of Screenweaver 3 for Eclipse! The URL to
the Eclipse update site is:
http://www.screenweaver.org/update
To install it to Eclipse (v.3.1.x) use Help->Software Updates->Find and
Install->Next->New Remote Site. Fill out "Screenweaver" and
"http://www.screenweaver.org/update" and things should start downloading.
To start building projects, you'll need some binary files. I've put them
together in a zip, here:
http://www.screenweaver.org/update/SWE_0.9.0.zip. After downloading,
unzip the files somewhere, and navigate to
Window->Preferences->Screenweaver and fill out the filepaths there. Notes:
- The Flash plugin is not in the zip - you'll have to use your local
Flash ActiveX plugin.
- The "SWXMLBuilder. console.exe" isn't used in the preference panel: it
wraps the builder DLL, so you can do project builds from the command
line, if you'd like to.
To get started building a project, either select
File->New->Other->Screenweaver->Screenweaver Project file, or just
create a blank file and rename its extension "swx".
I've made a start with providing "AMES" integration, by providing a
custom Ant task for building Screenweaver projects. Unfortunately, it
doesn't work yet - so for automating things, you'll have to use Ant's
exec task, together with the console wrapper .exe.
We're looking forward hearing about your first impressions, thoughts and
suggestions!
Cheers,
