welcome, good question, you'll have to experiment :)
You can't do it with swfml-s ("simple", what most people use and which
has some documentation), but at least in theory it should be possible
with swfml-ll ("low level", what swf2xml gives you and xml2swf
Just convert your SWF to XML, and create a new one with the new asset.
Then convert the new SWF to XML and cut-and-paste what looks like it
could be your new asset back into your original SWF XML. Convert back
to SWF and hope it works...
What can (probably will) cause problems is the ID. With swfml-s this
is handled automatically, but in swfml-ll you'll have to do it
manually, so this is what you will have to change in the XML you copy.
