[swfmill] swf2xml and xml2swf: apply on JW player 3/4

I want to make a tiny modification to a SWF(JW player 4).
Below is how I use swfmill 0.2.12-2 in debian lenny:

$ swfmill swf2xml player.swf player.xml
$ swfmill xml2swf player.xml player1.swf

But player1.swf differs from original player.swf. See below:

-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh   37172 2008-07-08 22:15 player1.swf
-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh   37225 2008-07-07 14:44 player.swf
-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh  273404 2008-07-08 22:05 player.xml

While I tested JW Player 3.xx version, got these:
-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh   25321 2008-07-08 22:08 mediaplayer1.swf
-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh   25476 2008-07-07 00:54 mediaplayer.swf
-rw-r--r-- 1 sh sh 1622768 2008-07-08 22:07 mediaplayer.xml
Where mediaplayer1 is the converted one.

My question is: player1.swf acts quite differently compared with player.swf,
while older version mediaplayer1 and mediaplayer act the same. Why?
