Yes you can!
First you will have to be able to read the excel spreadsheet on PHP.
To do this you can test some of the classes available on phpclasses.org
ex.
http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/1919.html
http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/1808.html
http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/3797.html
Then you can use that class on flash thru swx.
