You might want to try version 0.3 of the server. I found it works with more bluetooth adapters and drivers.

it sounds to me that they
bluetooth stack you are
using isnt working correctly.
this could be either the
bluetooth adapter it self
of the drivers it uses...
i my self use Bluesoleil,

there's a free version now,
but im not sure if it works.
i got a copy after i baught
my belkin usb drive.
