[WiiFlash] Wiimote "Z" space & other data

After reading through the WiiFlash API documentation,I have a better
understanding of it, but am confused about one thing:

Is it true that even with a sensor bar, the Wiimote is not able to
determine it's distance from the sensor bar in space?  (like the
z-depth)?  I see the wiimote object has a .sensorZ property, but it
doesn't seem to translate to spatial location, it's shown as the
acceleration on the Z plane - so does the Wiimote only determine how
much acceleration is occuring along an axis in space, but not the actual
location in space?

I was able to grab this data, but was not able to really make sense of
it untill I can determine what these really mean- rather than what they
mean in my head.

Anyone care to translate what roll, pitch, yaw, sensorX, Y, Z really
means in context of the Wii? I know what yaw pitch and roll are in
aviation terms, but confused with the Wii becauses sometimes I get NaN
returned...
