I hope that Ripple will be developed in a number of directions in the future.

Since Ripple is now open-source, I hope that users will start to contribute as they work with it in their own projects.

Ripple currently relies on client-side JavaScript. While I think it is important for the main branch to be independant of server technologies, it would be great to have some specific implementations for a variety of languages, such as PHP, ColdFusion etc.

Ripple could integrate very well with things like browser history (back/forward). It manages its own History presently, but it would be ideal to have the option of tying in with browser functionality, for a better user experience.
